With only just over 7 weeks till Christmas the countdown is on.  Aboyne Academy is helping people get ready by holding their annual Christmas Fair at the Deeside Community Centre on Saturday the 29th November, 10.00am to 2.00pm.

ARCADION will be supporting the event, as in previous years, preparing and serving plates of tasty treats with the help of Aboyne students.  In addition to this the fair will offer people the chance to buy a variety of crafts and gifts as well as delicious homebakes.

There has been a Partnership Charter between ARCADION and the school since 2012 and the forthcoming academic year will see ARCADION assisting in numerous activities to help support the curriculum.  We are particularly pleased to have the schools involvement again in next year’s Offshore Europe event in September.

Aboyne Academy pupils are setting off to Malaga, Spain for a 5 day Golf and Football Tour with Inspiresport.  The pupils will receive top quality coaching from Malaga FC coaches and PGA Golf Professionals through an action packed programme.  The main aim of the trip is to educate the pupils as to different cultures whilst also developing their skills within each sport.  

A lot of hard work has been done to make the trip happen with over £4000 being raised.  The fundraising events have included a Golf Sponsor day and two Bag Packing days and the money raised has provided sports kit for every pupil.  The school has also had support from business partner ARCADION who provided every pupil and member of staff with large travel bags.

AMEC have awarded ARCADION an Accommodation FEED study for Premier Oil’s Sea Lion development which will be located approximately 200 kilometres north of the Falkland Islands.

ARCADION will assist AMEC providing them with specialist knowledge for the accommodation element of their overall FEED study contract award from Premier Oil.

Sea Lion is the first oil and gas development in the Falklands area and includes plans for a tension leg platform (TLP) with over 30,000 tonnes of topsides for the 450-metres deep offshore location. 

ARCADION, the leading provider of Offshore Accommodation Solutions, and Jeitek Corporation Ltd, an industry expert in steel fabrication and ship building based in South Korea, have extended their partnership to maximise global potentials.

Both ARCADION and Jeitek were awarded contracts for accommodation with DSME on the new Statoil Mariner platform.   On previous projects Jeitek has supplied equipment and services to ARCADION, whilst on this occasion Jeitek has reciprocated the arrangement and contracted ARCADION to assist them.  The first time Jeitek has contracted a UK supplier.
